Hand Built Frames

GRANBURY, TX – Winner of five bike-customizing design awards at Sturgis over the past two years, TBW offers its new Hand Built Reto Frames line of classic, “old-school-style” frames to custom chopper fabricators.

Retro Frames are computer-engineered in SolidWorks CAD software, with a corresponding stress/strain-field finite-element-analysis (FEA) performed in COSMOSWorks. FEA graphically depicts the load distribution throughout frame members – greatly enhancing quality assurance for top road performance and safety. The vintage 1970’s Digger-Style frame version by TBW (shown) is constructed of 0.120” wall, AISI 1026 DOM (seamless) tubing, having a 5” forward x 3” up-stretch x 40-degree rake. Also featured are 7/8” frame rails with a 1-1/2” backbone and seat post, welded-in LSD 5/6-speed transmission plate with 1/2” offset to accept belt-driven 180mm or chain-driven 200mm tires. All frames are 100% TIG-welded in a precision jig.
